Voulisma Beach
Voulisma or Chrissi Ammos beach is about 500 meters from the village to the east. It is about 700 meters long and is the largest municipal beach of Kalo Chorio.
It is a very well organized beach with a beauty that you rarely encounter on the beaches of the northern axis of Crete. Its white sand gives the sea water a turquoise color that will take you nicely to tropical destinations. To the west of the central beach called Voulismeni, there is a smaller bay, more protected from the wind and less organized.
Voulisma is awarded with a blue flag and usually the sea is calm and peaceful. Access is easy via the Agios Nikolaos – Ierapetra National Road. On a plateau above the beach there is a canteen where you can snack or refresh with a soft drink and relax while admiring the wonderful view.
